More Toddler Than Baby

When did my baby girl become a toddler? I blinked and her baby days were gone. Every second with this little girl is precious. Here are some of her recent developments:
  • She can blow kisses.
  • She know most of her body parts (eyes, nose, mouth, ears, hair, head, hands, feet). She learned that her finger fits perfectly in her nose and loves to pick it.
  • She is a pickly eater. A way I have mastered this is by giving her two choices. She points to the food that she wants. It has worked very well.
  • She can give hugs by wrapping her arms around your shoulders or neck.
  • She loves to be chased.
  • Amora’s best friend is our neighbor, Ryan. Whenever she sees him, her face lights up in a big smile. She tries to walk across the street to play with Ryan every time we go outside. Ryan has already proposed (he’s 4).
  • She loves dogs and animals. She will point and yell when she sees one. She gets to feed the deer with her grandpa when they spot some in the backyard.
  • She’s cutting two molars on the bottom. She’s a little more irritable when she remembers the pain.
  • Amora is done nursing. She stopped at 15 months. Instead of nursing, she drinks milk from a sippy cup before bed as we read books.
  • Amora loves to point to things in her books. She is beginning to identify things when I ask where a picture on the page is.
  • Amora is learning words. She can say Mama, Da Da, Mum Mum (grandma), hi, eyes, up, dog, duck, and socks.

I love you Amora Joy! I'm so glad you're in our family.
